Will the 'Dwarf' Ninebark grow well in average home landscape conditions?
The ‘Dwarf’ Ninebark is a more compact sized shrub with smaller leaves and features showy clusters of white flowers at the ends of the branches from late spring to early summer. It has green foliage throughout the season, and the small serrated lobed leaves turn an outstanding orange in the fall. It produces red capsules from early to mid fall and has an interesting peeling papery bark that adds a winter effect; extremely tough and durable, it can be used in massing or for screenings.

This shrub does best in full sun to partial shade. It is very adaptable to both dry and moist locations, and does well under average home landscape conditions. The ‘Dwarf’ Ninebark has a low canopy, and is suitable for planting under power lines. It grows at a medium rate, and under ideal conditions, can be expected to live for approximately 30 years.

This dense, bushy, ninebark shrub produces its flowers in late spring. After flowering, the seed pods that develop are red and quite ornamental. Plant in full sun to part shade. ‘Dwarf’ Ninebark will grow to be about 4-6 feet tall at maturity, with a spread of 4-6 feet.
