Quercus nigra or water oak is a conical to round-topped tree and popular in the south as a shade and street tree. Fast growing, it starts producing acorns before its 10th year. Has moderate water requirements and has a moderate tolerance to salt and alkali soils. Shipped bare root, one to two foot, and priced in lots of 25 seedlings.
