Maple Leaf: glossy, dark green star shaped.
Maple Flower and Fruit: Greenish yellow small and insignificant.
The Shatung Maple is a very good small tree, holds up well through summer. Prefers full sun and does well in heat and alkaline soils. Prefers moist soil – do not let dry out completely. Good fall color - yellow to reddish purple. Good street tree. Native to northern China, Manchuria and Korea.
