The Red Gravenstein apple is the best all-round variety. It keeps well and is good for shipping. Needs pollination with any of the following: Fuji, Gala, Red Delicious or Yellow Delicious. It is a large fruit with red over yellow-green skin. The flesh is crisp, finely grained and light yellow. It is best used for sauce or cider.
