Protect trees from drought damage

With much of the midsection of the nation suffering a drought — 99 percent of Texas! — you’ll notice that the grass isn’t greener on either side of the fence these days. That’s particularly true for trees.
Symptoms of drought injury to trees can be sudden or may take up to two years to show up. Often, drought stress may not kill a tree outright, but will leave it vulnerable to insects and diseases in following years.
According to experts, you can determine whether your trees are under drought stress by paying attention to the structure.
