Potentilla fruticosa 'Pink Beauty' - Pink Beauty Potentilla
For those who've tired of the same old yellow or white flowering Potentillas, 'Pink Beauty' offers something different. As the name suggests, this cultivar provides pink blooms, and in the same fashion as the species, this Potentilla fruticosa will provide blooms for months. The depth of the hue of blooms will depend somewhat on seasonal conditions and geography; warmer climates or hot summer in cooler climates will have Pink Beauties with lighter colored blooms, even turning creamy white. To keep the plant looking it's best you can either regularly trim the dead stems and a portion of the older, live stems, or hard prune the entire shrub back to within inches of the ground. In either case, the pruning should be done anytime from late fall to very early spring.

The information for this plant has been provided by Jeff Pozniak, of The Ground Trades Xchange.
