Characteristics
Height and Spread Potentilla shrubs may reach up to 1 metre in height and may have a crown width between 0.5 and 1 metre, depending on the cultivar.

Preferred growing conditions Likes clay soils and prefers full sun. Potentilla is drought tolerant and very hardy.
Form Potentillas are small shrubs that bloom throughout the season.
Flower/seeds Most potentillas have small, yellow, simple flowers although different cultivars may have orange or pinkish flowers. Flowers turn into small brown seeds.
Leaf Hybrid poplar leaves are simple, dark green leaves approximately 5 to 12 cm in size.
Bark/wood Brown bark looks shredded.
Berries Not applicable
Pruning Prune to keep shape. Every 5 or 6 years you may have to severely prune the shrub to rejuvenate it.
