Pocahontas Lilac tree has deep maroon-purple buds which open to large individual florets that are born on large panicles, emerge purple, then fade to an attractive deep lilac color. The tree is extremely cold hardy to USDA zone 2. Pocahontas Lilac tree matures to a height of 10-12 feet with an equal spread. These beautiful and true lilac scented spring blooms are born at a young age from this rigorous landscape tree. Pocahontas Lilac tree offers not only its beauty and fragrance, but also attracts bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds. It's a perfect specimen tree or works great as a hedge.
