This old fashioned Weigela is an old traditional favorite. A dense, spreading, rounded shrub with solid medium green foliage . Flowers are trumpet shaped, pastel pink in color, and begin blooming as early as April in warmer climates. Once blooms start, they will last easily until the first of July - blooms have been observed in warmer climates as late as October. A very vigorous grower - many times as much as 4ft per year, but can be maintained at virtually any desired height / shape with trimming. Good for use as a shrub border, or in group / mass plantings where a good mid-sized shrub is needed. Full sun to partial shade with average soil & water requirements make this a very versatile shrub that can be used in a wide variety of situations & locations.

Spread: 6-8 ft
Growth Rate: Moderate to fast ( 8"-12" avg per year )
