Compact, dense, deciduous shrub with thick, rich green leaves, which turn purple in fall. Pleasing, icy blue, sweetly fragrant, flower panicles completely smother the plant in late spring, the latest of all lilac species. Plant in full sun in most average soils. Use as a foundation plant, in the shrub border, as a natural screen, or as a hedge. No maintenance necessary, but if pruning is desired, do so only in summer immediately after flowers fade. Any other time will chop off flower buds for the next year. We're sorry, but due to state regulations, this plant cannot be shipped to Wisconsin.
