Norway Maple Trees are a type of maple native to Europe and western Asia. These trees are big and can grow to 20 to 30 meters tall. Their trunk can reach a diameter of 1.5 meters. They have wide, rounded crowns and grayish-brown bark. Unlike most maple trees, the Norway Maple doesn’t have shaggy bark. As young trees, they start out green and then turn brown as they get older. Their leaves are dark green and turn a head-turning red to orange color during the fall. They also produce flowers that bloom in mid-spring. These trees can live up to 2 centuries or more. Like oaks, they prefer to be planted in an area that has a lot of sun in soil that is well-drained. Grow your own today.
