The crabapple is susceptible to powdery mildew.
The flowering crabapple is an ornamental tree that is popular in many homes and gardens. This tree has small edible fruit and colorful blooms, and is relatively low-maintenance. However, the crabapple is susceptible to a fungus known as powdery mildew. This condition most commonly affects crabapples growing in dense shade.
