Introduction

The ‘Lynwood Gold’ forsythia is one of the best and most reliable of the forsythias. This lovely shrub is one of the earliest bloomers, beginning in April, with big yellow flowers up the entire length of the stem, great use as cut flowers. It is a dense growing plant with an upright habit, reaching heights and widths of 6’-8’.

Use and Management

This forsythia is excellent for hedges or accent plantings. It is fast growing, adaptable to most soils and tolerates moist soil. Likes full sun but can be planted in partial shade.

Allow plants to develop for the first three years with minimal pruning. Once established, prune in mid-spring after flowering by thinning out crowded stems from the center of the shrub.
