Landscape and garden programmes at the University of Greenwich
We have been teaching landscape architecture since 1965 and are enthusiastic about all aspects of the subject. This includes: landscape design, garden design, garden history, urban design, landscape planning, landscape management, environmental assessment. In a final year of 50 we would expect to welcome students from 15 countries and 20 disciplines.
Students can enter directly into an undergraduate programme in garden design, landscape architecture, or landscape management. Alternatively, if they hold a degree in another discipline, students can join a postgraduate programme masters programme in landscape architecture, garden design, garden history or landscape planning. The commonest undergraduate subjects are fine art and geography but we have also been very pleased to have scientists, philosophers, bankers, linguists, opera singers, actors and an astro-physicist.
Postgraduates can study by distance learning for a postgraduate certificate in garden history - and this can lead to a masters in garden history or garden design.
