Hedges That Grow in the Shade
By Augustus Clipper, eHow Contributor
Hedges are not actually particular varieties of trees or shrubs but rather the style in which trees and shrubs are grown. A hedge is a dense grouping of bushes, shrubs or vines pruned into a desired shape. Hedges are often used to hide unsightly features or to provide privacy from neighbors or traffic. To maintain an effective hedge, the gardener must prune the shrubs and trees regularly to encourage dense full foliage.
