Type: Deciduous shrub
Soil Preference: Tolerates drought, will grow in dry soil but prefers well-drained, loamy or sandy soils with a pH of acidic to alkaline.
Light Requirements: Full sun to very light shade
Attributes: Good in container plantings, the border, as a specimen or ground cover and for erosion control.
Pests: Few, if any
Diseases: none serious
Care: Prune after flowering to keep the plant compact and to thin it out.
Ship Form: Bare Root
Fertilize with Holly-tone or Plant-tone approximately April 1st, May 20th, July 4th, August 15th & October 30th. Keep granular fertilizers off foliage and away from stems and trunks. Use 1/2 the recommended rate of fertilizer for new plantings.
Description:
Forsythia Gold Tide A deciduous shrub noted for its colorful yellow spring flowers appearing before the foliage. All it requires is a sunny area and well-drained soil. It's also a very easy plant and grow transplants well.
