Elm Tree Disease Part 3
Russell Friesen

Most people are aware of the possibly catastrophic situation faced by the millions of elm trees that presently line the streets of Saskatchewan's towns and cities. The arrival of Dutch elm disease in Saskatchewan poses a threat to each and every elm tree in the province, and could result in the entire loss of American elmØarguably our finest street tree. Prevention is the only practical solution, unfortunately prevention relies heavily upon upon our ability to identify the disease whenever and whereever it appears. Unfortunatly, the symptoms of Dutch elm disease can sometimes be confused with the symptoms of various other less-destructive elm diseases.
