Autumn Purple Ash
The Autumn Purple White Ash is one of my favorite deciduous trees. It's a relatively fast grower that's wider at the bottom than the top yet nicely rounded, making it a great tree to sit under for shade on a hot summer day. As most Ash trees do, the Autumn Purple Ash enjoys moist, loamy soil. That being said, it will also thrive in many other soil conditions, including clay soils. Of all the features I like about this tree, the most striking is the fall color. I find the autumn color show to be brilliant in an elegant way, with the outer leaves turning a port wine red, the inner leaves a warm yellow.
