The Austrian Pine is an evergreen that is native to western Europe and throughout Asia including parts of Austria and Europe. Austrian pines can grow over 60 feet with a width of around 40 feet. As a member of the Pine family, it is related to other pines including Firs, Spruces and Hemlocks. The Austrian Pine prefers soils that are moist and well drained. However, the Austrian Pine will adapt to heavy clay soils that are sometimes dry.
