Arkansas Master Composter Program

Trains volunteers & professionals to promote & teach backyard composting & sound yard waste management practices

20 hours of hands-on & classroom training - including a tour

Master Composters teach and promote composting to: neighbors, schools, & interested parties

A compost demonstration area or education site may be part of the project

In Arkansas, contact Suzanne Hirrel (501-671-2288), your local county extension office, and Solid Waste Management District to set up a meeting. This program has been most successful when it is a partnership project of the University of Arkansas Cooperative Extension Service and Regional Solid Waste Management District.
