What Is The Best Soil For Plants
Testing The Soil
Testing the soil involves “discovering” what in the the soil and what is missing from the soil – the soil mechanics. Testing the soil goes beyond a simple soil pH test. The soil pH (acid-alkaline status) is needed to see if the crops you plan on growing can handle the soil pH.
What is needed is to find out the essential plant nutrients stored in what we call “dirt.” Also what percentage of organic matter is in the soil. In potted material took soil sample monthly and had them tested. we could then makes changes and see the results of the treatments made. The simplest way to look at soil testing is like a car mechanic or doctor. You cannot make repairs without checking things out thoroughly. When testing soil remember to pull samples from different areas as nutrient levels vary.
