Featuring long, green grass-like leaves, monkey grass is commonly used as an ornamental plant and ground cover. Although the plant is hardy and withstands a variety of conditions, plants displaying brown and red splotches are likely suffering from anthracnose, or leaf blight. Eliminating blight isn't difficult, and it also does not require any special equipment.
