Tenterden Garden Centre is located in a picturesque location 3 miles down the Appledore Road out of Tenterden with views across the Romney Marsh and to the Isle of Oxney.

Originally a cut flower nursery and farm shop, the business had operated as a small garden centre since the mid 1980’s. Since 1999 the business has expanded enormously and now attracts over 100,000 visitors to the centre every year.

Extensive improvements have been made, with the centre virtually being rebuilt with all buildings re-roofed and upgraded and a new restaurant, plant sales area, aquatics centre, stoneware & terracotta pot display area and more.

The garden centre has established an excellent reputation for quality & service and is now one of Kent’s premier garden centre’s.

The centre prides itself in providing a complete range of garden products, gifts, garden and conservatory furniture and quality plants all at good value prices, encapsulated with high levels of friendly and informative customer service.

Staff training along with a policy of recruiting specialist horticultural trained knowledgeable staff has helped the Centre develop an excellent reputation as a friendly place to visit. In fact the centre can boast at having over 100 years of garden centre experience amongst its staff.

Canterbury Garden Centre at Herne Common is managed by Mr. Peter Cassell. Peter has a great wealth experiance of managing garden centres in the UK and is a familiar face in gardening circles. With an excellent team of local staff with strong with strong horticultural backgrounds (in fact the staff can already boast of having over 100 years of garden centre experience between them), they can provide you with the exceptional levels of service and presentation that we pride ourselves on at Tenterden.

The centre stocks a wide range of quality plants from shrubs to roses, herbs and seasonal bedding plants, complimented by garden sundries, tools, birdcare, giftware, conservatory furniture and garden furniture.
