Our seedlings are of the variety Morus alba, tatarica. They are a very hardy strain of white mulberry. Trees have been in my garden for at least two years and have been used to feed my silkworms. Leaf form varies from large and heartshaped to "cut leaf" lace. All are good silkworm food. This variety has separate male and female plants. Only the females make berries. Plant several to be sure of at least one berry producer.
