Beech Trees - Beech Trees

Beech trees are very delicate, despite their size. They do not like to be disturbed in any way.

Beech trees are susceptible to Phytopthora disease. Phytopthora is the organism responsible for "damping off" in vegetable seedlines. It is a weak organism...but left alone in a stressed tree, it can kill the tree.

If a tree is strong and healthy, Phytopthora will not be able to take hold as the tree's natural defenses will keep it out.
